Mold Remediation 1

Mold is an unsightly and unhealthy problem that can quickly take over your home or office before you even realize it is there. It often goes unnoticed until someone gets sick, or you notice an area of substantial growth. It can take many forms, from dry rot to black, white, and even pink mold.

Aside from its unpleasant look and smell, mold can also spread into the bones of a home, causing severe structural damage if left untreated for too long. But perhaps more concerning is the fact that mold can have serious health ramifications. Mold produces mycotoxins, which can result in allergic reactions, sinus issues, asthma attacks, headaches, dizziness, and fatigue, amongst other things.

Mold is harmful to anyone and is especially dangerous for children, elderly individuals, pregnant women, and those who are immunocompromised. It is beneficial to contact a certified mold remediation specialist.

When mold remediation is needed

Mold is a resilient and determined organism that can grow virtually anywhere. All it takes is a little bit of moisture and mold can latch on and thrive on virtually any surface. Mold is like a weed that must be uprooted and treated as soon as it is noticed, or else it will continue to spread at an exponentially great rate.

At Adler Restoration, our team identifies and removes mold from structures and sub-surfaces of homes and businesses including but not limited to:

  • Walls, wallpaper, and paint.
  • Flooring and subflooring.
  • Window frames and windowsills.
  • Textiles and furniture.
  • Caulking and plumbing.
  • Carpets and fibers.
  • Ventilation systems and air ducts.
  • Cabinets and storage compartments.
  • Bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms etc.

Removing Mold

The first step in the mold removal process is to determine what is causing the mold and eliminating the source of the problem. Adler Restoration will identify areas that need to be removed and those that can be salvaged. Preserving the structural integrity of the building is of the utmost importance. We will take great care to contain the discarded materials and prevent them from contaminating any remaining surfaces.

  • Mitigate the source of the mold.
  • Extract any excess moisture and standing water.
  • Dehumidify and purify the air as required.
  • Professionally clean and sanitize surfaces that will remain in place.
  • Deodorize the affected room(s) or building(s).
  • Record, document, and formally collect all pertinent information to file a thorough insurance claim.
  • After Mold Protocol Remediations completion, Adler can utilize the services of a third-party Industrial Hygienist to collect data providing results of air quality and surface tests.
